Why use the Elite Hospital Grade Rental Pump?
The Elite Pump is able to go to lower vacuum settings. This is helpful if you have tender or damaged nipples.
The Elite Pump allows for individual and independent control of cycles per minute/speed and vacuum, so that each mother can find her personal comfort setting. Research demonstrates that each mother is different and she should find the settings optimal for her body. The Elite Breast Pump makes finding these settings easy!
The HygieniKit has a diaphragm barrier at the breast piece. This FDA cleared Viral Barrier prevents milk and moisture from backing up into the tubing and pump. This prevents both cross contamination and self contamination. The Hygienikit has a barrier diaphragm, which protects the baby’s property – the breast milk.
The Hygienikit comes completely assembled from the manufacturer. Simply open the package, attach white connector to hole on the end of the piston on the top of the Elite Pump. There are two bottle holders on the back of the pump.
The Hygienikit is interchangeable on any Ameda breast pump – so there are no confusing extra parts to be purchased or to re-configure.
Cleaning is a breeze!
This pump is designed to be used by mothers. The only cleaning you have to do is of the parts that come in contact with the milk. The pump and tubing are protected!
Set aside tubing, white cap and white pump connector. These items do not need to be washed or sanitized because the silicone diaphragm prevents them from coming into contact with the breast milk.
Unscrew bottles from flanges.
Remove the white valves and silicone diaphragm from the breast flanges.
The silicone diaphragms and valves should be hand washed (to prevent loss and extend usefulness). The breast flange and bottles may be cleaned in the upper compartment of the dishwasher or hand washed with dish soap. Rinse first with cool water to remove milk residue. Then wash with warm soapy water. Then rinse thoroughly.
Air dry cleaned parts on a clean towel or drying rack.
